Is Bachelor?s in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Southernmost Santa Catarina - UNESC (2003), Master?s in General Pharmacology from the Federal University of Santa Catarina - UFSC (2007, under the advisorship of Dr. Antonio de Padua Carobrez) and Ph.D. in General Pharmacology from the same university (2011, under the advisorship of Dr. Antonio de Padua Carobrez). Was a postdoctoral fellow in the laboratory of Dr. Azair Liane M. Canto-de-Souza at the Dept. of Psychology of the Federal University of Sao Carlos ? UFSCar (2011 ? 2016) and works as collaborator in the Laboratory of Behavioral Neurobiology (principal investigator Dr. Antonio de Padua Carobrez) of the Federal University of Santa Catarina. Is currently a postdoctoral fellow in the Learning and Memory laboratory coordinated by Dr. Christa McIntyre at the University of Texas at Dallas. Has experience in the field of pharmacology, with emphasis in neuropsychopharmacology, focused on the following topics: animal models of anxiety, neural substrates of fear, anxiety, stress and the neurobiology of aversive memories. Is a collaborator in the Texas Biomedical Device Center, developing automated tasks for assessment of extinction-resistant fear memory, and evaluating and optimizing parameters of for vagus nerve stimulation. His main interests are: translational research on neuroendocrine system and how brain overcomes fear, as well as strategies for improving the methods of high level instruction.

Has experience in Pharmacology, focusing on Pharmacology, acting on the following subjects: anxiety disorders, ansiedade, comportamento defensivo, aversive memory and animal models.
