Hilde Harb Buzzá

Atualmente, professora assistente no Instituto de Física da Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Chile, Santiago trabalhando biofotônica. Graduada na primeira turma do curso de Ciências Físicas e Biomoleculares. Durante o mestrado e doutorado, estudou o efeito vascular da terapia fotodinâmica usando o modelo de membrana corioalantóica em ovos de galinha, no Grupo de Ótica do Instituto de Física de São Carlos (IFSC) na Universidade de São Paulo. Fez o pós-doutorado no IFSC, pela FAPESP em colaboração com a UHN (Canadá), trabalhando com a conjugação da Terapia Fotodinâmica e Terapia Fototérmica no tratamento de tumores e o uso da nanotecnologia na busca de protocolos eficientes para tratamento da pneumonia com TFD. Além disso, fazem parte das suas linhas de pesquisa: tratamento de esporotricose, estudo do efeito vascular e aplicação clínica da TFD em câncer de pele humano e veterinário e lesões por HPV, usando técnicas ópticas.

Graduated in the first class of the Physical and Biomolecular Sciences course. During her master's and doctorate, she studied the vascular effect of photodynamic therapy using the model of chorioallantoic membrane in chicken eggs, at the Optics Group of the São Carlos Institute of Physics (IFSC) at the University of São Paulo. She is currently a postdoctoral fellow at IFSC, by FAPESP, working with the combination of Photodynamic Therapy and Photothermal Therapy in the treatment of tumors and the use of nanotechnology in the search for efficient protocols for treating pneumonia with PDT. In addition, they are part of the current lines of research: treatment of sporotrichosis, study of the vascular effect and clinical application of PDT in human and veterinary skin cancer and HPV injuries, using optical techniques. Among the university extension projects, she participated in the foundation of the Junior company of the IFSC and the SPIE Student Chapter and was the curator of the exhibition Luz ao Alcance das Mãos - accessible physics teaching for visually impaired people. Today, she is a collaborating professor (Category MS 3.1) at USP São Carlos, teaching general physics classes for undergraduate courses.
