Dalton Sanches

Graduated in History - Degree (2010); Bachelor (2011) -, Master in History (2013) and Doctorate in History (2019); entirely by the Universidade Federal de Ouro Preto (UFOP). In 2017, he carried out a period of sandwich-scholarship - PDSE-CAPES - at the Dipartimento di Lingue, Letterature and Culture Moderne of the Università di Bologna, Italy, under the supervision of Roberto Vecchi. He is interested in the areas of Theory of History and History of Historiography, Intellectual History, Sociology of Intellectuals, Latin American Studies, Essays, Brazilian Historiography and History of Republican Brazil, with emphasis on the historiographical culture of the first half of the 20th century. In this periodization, he has focused specifically on aspects of the work of Sérgio Buarque de Holanda in contrast with that of some of his great interlocutors. He is affiliated with the Nucleus of Studies in the History of Historiography and Modernity (NEHM), the Brazilian Society of Theory and History of Historiography (SBTHH) and the National Association of History (ANPUH). In the scope of teaching practice, he works at Faculdade Dinâmica do Vale do Piranga (FADIP), teaching subjects covered by the areas of Humanities and Social Sciences.

Possui graduação em História - Licenciatura (2010); Bacharelado (2011) -, Mestrado em História (2013) e Doutorado em História (2019); integralmente pela Universidade Federal de Ouro Preto (UFOP). Realizou, em 2017, período de estágio sanduíche - bolsista PDSE-CAPES - no Dipartimento di Lingue, Letterature e Culture Moderne da Università di Bologna, Itália, sob orientação de Roberto Vecchi. Tem interesse nas áreas de Teoria da História e História da Historiografia, História Intelectual, Sociologia dos Intelectuais, Estudos Latino-Americanos, Ensaísmos, Historiografia Brasileira e História do Brasil Republicano, com ênfase na cultura historiográfica da primeira metade do século XX. Nesse recorte, tem se debruçado, especificamente, sobre aspectos da obra de Sérgio Buarque de Holanda em contraste com a de alguns dos seus grandes interlocutores. É filiado ao Núcleo de Estudos em História da Historiografia e Modernidade (NEHM), à Sociedade Brasileira de Teoria e História da Historiografia (SBTHH) e à Associação Nacional de História (ANPUH). No âmbito da prática docente, atua na Faculdade Dinâmica do Vale do Piranga (FADIP), lecionando as disciplinas abarcadas pelas áreas das Humanidades e Ciências Sociais.
