Possui graduação em Psicologia pela Faculdade de Humanidades Pedro II (1985-1979), mestrado em Psicologia Clinica pela Pontifícia Universidade Católica de Campinas-PUCCAMP (1985-1987) e doutorado em Saúde Mental pela Universidade Estadual de Campinas- UNICAMP (1991-1993). Pós doutorado em Saúde Mental pela UB- Universidade de Barcelona- Espanha(1995 a 1997). Pós doutorado em Educação e Saúde Mental pela UP- Universidade do Porto em Portugal( 2009). É professor associado III aposentado da Universidade Federal de Uberlândia. Colaborador Ad Hoc de diversas revistas científicas tais como Estudos de Psicologia (Campinas) (0103-166X), Estudos e Pesquisa em Psicologia da Universidade Estadual do Rio de Janeiro- UERJ(ISSN 1808-4281) . Faz parte do conselho editorial das revistas - psique-ciência e vida, international journal of integrative and eclectic psychotherapy e Revista Odisseia da Medicina. Manteve uma coluna semanal por mais de seis anos no jornal "Correio de Uberlândia", onde divulgava em linguagem acessível os principais conceitos da psicologia. Colaborador do Instituto Nacional de Estudos e Pesquisas Educacionais - Estudos e Pesquisas em Psicologia (INEP). Membro do Athens Institute for Education and Research (Grecia). Tem experiência na área de Psicologia, com ênfase em Tratamento e Prevenção Psicológica, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: saúde mental, educação e saúde mental, aids, psicanalise, mecanismos psicodinâmicos e saúde publica. Coordenou o curso de psicologia da Faculdade Castro Alves em Salvador-BA e desenvolveu 03(tres) projetos acadêmicos em Pós Graduação Stricto Sensu(mestrado) na UNIRB - Faculdade Regional da Bahia, em sua sede em Salvador - Bahia em 2015 e 2016. Paralelo a isso, se dedica ao estudo da nutrição humana ajudando pessoas que se preocupam com saúde, bem estar e controle de peso. Fez treinamentos em 2009 em Turim(Itália) e em 2010(Rio de Janeiro) com Dr. Louis Ignarro- Único Nobel de Medicina (1998) que se dedica ao estudo da saúde e nutrição Humana. Fez treinamentos também com dr. David Heber Diretor do Laboratório de Nutrição Humana da Universidade da Califórnia considerado a maior autoridade em matéria nutricional do mundo.

Post doctorate in Mental Health from UB - University of Barcelona - Spain (1995 to 1997). Post doctorate in Educacion and Mental Health from UP-University of Porto in Portugal (2009). He is associate professor III retired from the Federal University of Uberlândia. Ad Hoc collaborator of several scientific journals such as Studies of Psychology (Campinas) (0103-166X), Studies and Research in Psychology of the State University of Rio de Janeiro - UERJ (ISSN 1808-4281). He is part of the editorial board of journals - psyche-science and life, international journal of integrative and eclectic psychotherapy and Odisseia Magazine of Medicine. He maintained a weekly column for more than six years in the newspaper "Correio de Uberlândia", where he published in accessible language the main concepts of psychology. Collaborator of the National Institute of Educational Studies and Research - Studies and Research in Psychology (INEP). Member of the Athens Institute for Education and Research (Greece). He has experience in Psychology, with emphasis on Psychological Treatment and Prevention, working mainly in the following subjects: mental health, education and mental health, aids, psychoanalysis, psychodynamic mechanisms and public health. He coordinated the psychology course at the Castro Alves Faculty in Salvador-BA and developed three (3) academic projects in Postgraduate Stricto Sensu (master's degree) at UNIRB - Bahia Regional Faculty, in its headquarters in Salvador-Bahia in 2015 and 2016. Parallel to this, is dedicated to the study of human nutrition helping people who care about health, well being and weight control. He trained in 2009 in Turin (Italy) and in 2010 (Rio de Janeiro) with Dr. Louis Ignarro - the Nobel Prize in Medicine (1998) dedicated to the study of human health and nutrition. He also trained with dr. David Heber Director of the Laboratory of Human Nutrition at the University of California, considered the world's leading authority on nutrition. .
