Doctor of Pharmacy from Navarra University in 1990. Specialist in "Industrial Pharmacy and Galénica" and "Analysis of Drugs and Medicines". In 1996 obtained the "Ability for supervise researches". He has been post-doctoral fellow of the "Centre of Pharmaceutical Studies" at the Paris Sud University, France. In 1993, after a entrance examination, he received a position in the Maître de Conférences Universitaire at the Rouen University (France) where he teaches in the Faculty of Pharmacy until 1996. In this period also involved in various training programs at the Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers (Paris, France). In 1996, he joined as Professor of Pharmaceutical Technology at the University of Navarra. Currently, his research focuses on: (i) New Pharmaceutical Dosage Forms (Microparticles and Nanoparticles); (ii) Oral Drug Delivery Systems as bioadhesive carriers for specific delivery of macromolecules; and (iii) New adjuvants based on the polymeric particles for vaccination and immunotherapy purposes.Juan IRACHE has published over 140 research papers in peer-reviewed international journals and more than 20 book chapters on Pharmaceutical Nanotechnolgy for application as delivery systems.
