Wagner Alcides de Souza

Graduated in History from the State University of Rio de Janeiro - UERJ (1992) and Master in Social History from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro - UFRJ (2020). He is currently Deputy Center for Studies and Research in Military History of the CEPHiMEx Army, and deputy in the subsection of Institutional History / Oral History of the Army, which belong to the Directorate of Historical and Cultural Heritage of the Army - DPHCEx. It was between 1996 and 2019, a member of the Army Library, having been one of the researchers of the editing team of the book The Army in the History of Brazil (1998), regarding bibliographic research. He also held the following functions at the Army Library: Head of the Library / Research Section, Head of the Publications Section, Editorial Coordinator and Secretary of the Editorial Council of the Army Library. Has experience in the area of ​​History, with emphasis on History of Brazil Empire, acting mainly on the following themes: Military History and History of Brazil.

Possui Graduação em História pela Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro - UERJ (1992) e Mestrado em História Social pela Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro - UFRJ (2020). É Oficial do Quadro Complementar do Exército da área de Magistério / História, da Turma de 1994. Atualmente é Adjunto Centro de Estudos e Pesquisas de História Militar do Exército CEPHiMEx, e adjunto da subseção de História Institucional / História Oral do Exército , que pertencem à Diretoria do Patrimônio Histórico e Cultural do Exército - DPHCEx. Foi entre 1996 e 2019, integrante da Biblioteca do Exército, tendo sido um dos pesquisadores da Equipe de edição do livro O Exército na História do Brasil (1998), no que concerne a pesquisa bibliográfica. Também exerceu na Biblioteca do Exército as seguintes funções: Chefe da Seção de Bibliotecas / Pesquisa, Chefe da Seção de Publicações, Coordenador Editorial e Secretário do Conselho Editorial da Biblioteca do Exército. Tem experiência na área de História, com ênfase em História do Brasil Império, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: História Militar e História do Brasil.
