Rodrigo Corrêa Gontijo

Rodrigo Gontijo is PhD (2019) and Master (2013) in Multimedia at UNICAMP and graduated in Communication and Multimedia at PUC-SP (2005). Acts as a multimedia artist, teacher and documentarist. Directed the work "The limited air of an island" (awarded at 13th Gramado Cine-Video); "Jaragua - land without evil"; "Heliopolis - a place in the sun"; "Vila Guilherme ? Pigeon post to email" and "Sounds of Penha - notes of a neighborhood" (funded by the Municipal Department of Culture of São Paulo and TV Cultura, 2008, 2010, 2011 and 2013). Participated in the collective Núcleo Artérias (2004-2011) for which he won 2 APCAS (best show of dance and language research). Develops artwork, with emphasis on the Video Arts, acting on the following topics: live cinema, film essay, experimental cinema, expanded cinema, installations and performance. Rodrigo Gontijo is a professor in the Communication and Multimedia at State University of Maringá (UEM).

Rodrigo Gontijo é doutor (2019) e mestre (2013) em Multimeios pelo Instituto de Artes da Universidade Estadual de Campinas (UNICAMP) e bacharel em Comunicação e Multimeios pela Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (PUC-SP/ 2005). Atua como artista, professor e pesquisador. Dirigiu os trabalhos "O escasso ar de uma ilha" (premiado no 13º Gramado Cine-Vídeo); "Jaraguá - terra sem mal"; "Heliópolis - um lugar ao sol"; "Vila Guilherme - do pombo-correio ao email" e "Sons da Penha - notas de um bairro" (contemplados no edital História dos Bairros / Secretaria Municipal de Cultura e TV Cultura; 2008, 2010, 2011 e 2013), dentre outros. Participou do coletivo Núcleo Artérias (2004 a 2011) com o qual ganhou 2 APCAs (melhor espetáculo de dança e pesquisa de linguagem). Desenvolve trabalhos artísticos, com ênfase em Artes do Vídeo, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: live cinema, filme-ensaio, cinema experimental, cinema expandido, instalações e performance. É professor no curso de Comunicação e Multimeios da Universidade Estadual de Maringá (UEM).
