Thomas Gernot Keil

Graduado em História e Letras - Alemão pela Universität Stuttgart (Alemanha), mestre (1999) e doutor (2003) na área de Literatura Alemã pela mesma instituição. Atualmente, cumpre pós-doutorado na Universidade Federal do Paraná (Curitiba/PR).Durante o mestrado, realizou estágio de pesquisa na Jawaharlal Nehru University em Nova Déli, Índia, como bolsista financiado pelo Akademisches Auslandsamt da Universidade de Stuttgart. No doutorado, como bolsista do Serviço Alemão de Intercâmbio Acadêmico (DAAD), realizou estágio de pesquisa em Windhoek, na Namíbia. Empreendeu viagem de estudos no ano de 2000, visitando instituições e arquivos localizados no Brasil, Argentina, Uruguai e Paraguai. De 2006 a 2009, realizou estágio de pesquisa na UNISINOS (São Leopoldo/RS) como bolsista da empresa Stihl AG. De 2010 a 2011, atuou como professor substituto na área de Literatura Alemã Moderna na Universidade de Stuttgart.Atua desde 2016 como pesquisador e membro científico do projeto dbp digital, que tem como foco a descoberta, preservação, digitalização e catalogação de periódicos em língua alemã no Brasil. No âmbito deste projeto, trabalha como principal autor de uma publicação enciclopédica de grande volume sobre a imprensa de língua alemã no Brasil.

Thomas Keil has a degree in History and German Studies at the University of Stuttgart (Germany) and holds a master (1999) and doctor degree (2003) in ​​German Literature at the same institution. From 2006 to 2009, he did a research internship at UNISINOS (São Leopoldo / RS) funded by Stihl AG & Company. From 2010 to 2011, he acted as substitute faculty in ​​Modern German Literature at the University of Stuttgart.He has been working as a researcher and scientific member of the dbp digital project since 2016, focusing on the discovery, preservation, digitalization and cataloging of German-language journals in Brazil. Within this project, he is working as the main author of a comprehensive encyclopedic publication on the German-language press in Brazil.
