Mário Henrique Palis Santana

Forensic Expert of Brazilian Federal Police since 2007, he has worked at the Forensic Chemistry Group in Curitiba, at the Service of Forensics Laboratory and Ballistics (SEPLAB) in the National Institute of Criminalistics in Brasilia and currently he is the head of the Criminalistics Unit in Uberlândia/Minas Gerais state. He holds a bachellor's degree in Chemical Engineering from the Federal University of Uberlândia (1996), Master degree in Chemistry from the Federal University of Uberlândia (2000), PhD in Chemistry from the University of São Paulo (2005) and postdoctoral fellow at the Federal University of Uberlândia (2005 and 2006 ). He participated in SEPLAB's Environmental Review Group and Interpol's Environmental Crime Programme-Pollution Crimes. Researcher in Forensic Chemistry of a multicentred research project, Member of the Brazilian Academy of Forensic Sciences and member of the GOIA Nucleus of the Federal Police, a specialized grupo to combat crimes against Cultural Heritage. Perito Criminal Federal na Polícia Federal desde 2007, tendo trabalhado no Grupo de Química Forense em Curitiba, no Serviço de Perícias de Laboratório e de Balística (SEPLAB) do Instituto Nacional de Criminalística, em Brasília e, atualmente, dirige o Núcleo Técnico-Científico em Uberlândia/MG. Possui graduação em Engenharia Química pela Universidade Federal de Uberlândia, mestrado em Química pela Universidade Federal de Uberlândia, doutorado em Química pela Universidade de São Paulo e pós-doutorado na Universidade Federal de Uberlândia. Participou do Grupo de Análises Ambientais do SEPLAB e do Environmental Crime Programme - Pollution Crimes da Interpol.
