Eduardo Kazuhide Sato

received his B.S. degree in electrical engineering from Federal University of Paraná, Curitiba, Brazil in 1999, his M.S. and Ph.D degrees in electrical engineering from Yokohama National University, Yokohama, Japan in 2003 and 2006, respectively. Since 2006, he is with Toshiba Mitsubishi-Electric Industrial Systems Corporation, Kobe, Japan, engaged on development of medium and high capacity uninterruptible power supplies. His interests include power converters, digital control, power semiconductors, electromagnetic interference (EMI), energy storage systems and product safety. He received a number of awards including a Japanese Government Scholarship and the 2006 Outstanding Paper Award from NEC C&C Foundation. He is a member of the IEEE.

é engenheiro eletricista formado pela Universidade Federal do Paraná (1999), com mestrado e doutorado em Engenharia Eletrica obtidos na Universidade Nacional de Yokohama, Japão em 2003 e 2006, respectivamente. Atualmente está na Toshiba Mitsubishi-Electric Industrial Systems Corporation (TMEIC), Kobe, Japão onde trabalha no desenvolvimento de fontes ininterruptas de energia de média e alta potência. Foi agraciado com a bolsa do governo japonês (Monbukagakusho) no período 2000-2006 e recebeu diversas premiações como o 2006 Outstanding Paper Award da NEC C&C Foundation, o Second Prize Paper Award durante o IPEC-Niigata 2005 no Japão e o Best Student Paper Award durante o IEEE INTELEC 2005 na Alemanha. É membro do IEEE.
