Rafael Schechtman

B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (1975) and PG.D. in Nuclear Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (1984). He was director of the Brazilian Center for Infrastructure Ltda (2001/2018). Experience in the area of ​​Energy Planning, with emphasis on the use of energy, acting mainly on the following themes: analysis of technological risks, environment, energy cogeneration, environmental costs, electricity and demand side management, oil and gás natural industries. He is currently a consultant at the Center for Regulation and Infrastructure Studies at Fundação Getulio Vargas - FGV CERI (2020).

Possui graduação em Engenharia Elétrica pela Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro (1975) e doutorado em Nuclear Engineering - Massachusetts Institute Of Technology (1984). Foi diretor do Centro Brasileiro de Infra Estrutura Ltda (2001/2018 ).Tem experiência na área de Planejamento Energético, com ênfase em Aproveitamento da Energia, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: análise de riscos tecnológicos, meio ambiente, cogeração de energia, custos ambientais, energia elétrica e gerência pelo lado da demanda, transportes e mobilidade urbana, petróleo e gás natural. Atualmente é consultor no Centro de Estudos em Regulação e Infraestrutura da Fundação Getulio Vargas - FGV CERI (2020).
