Igor Matheus Benites

Civil Engineer graduated at the State University of Maringá (2013 - 2017) and member of the postgraduate program in Hydraulic and Sanitation Engineering at the São Carlos Engineering School of the University of São Paulo (2018 - 2020). Works with flow in porous media, water losses in distribution systems, leak detection and analysis of soil-leak interaction in buried pipes. In his MSc research project - Investigation of soil behavior around leaks in water distribution systems - sought to investigate the soil-leak interaction through an experimental investigation of the fluidization process resulting from an upward water jet through an orifice, which has the function of simulate a leak that enters the granular medium surrounding a pipe. In addition to the experimental approach, worked with PIV (Particle image velocimetry) technique combined with MATLAB programming to obtain instantaneous velocity fields with minimal interference in the flow. Has interest in Hydraulic Engineering and Hydrology.

Engenheiro Civil formado pela Universidade Estadual de Maringá (2013 - 2017) e Mestre em Engenharia Hidráulica e Saneamento pela Escola de Engenharia de São Carlos da Universidade de São Paulo (2018 - 2020). Atualmente é doutorando pelo mesmo programa e trabalha com escoamento em meios porosos e modelagem matemática/computacional aplicada à gestão e gerenciamento de resíduos sólidos. Além disso, já trabalhou com perdas de água em sistemas de distribuição e análise da interação solo-vazamento em tubulações enterradas. Tem interesse nas áreas de Resíduos Sólidos, Engenharia Hidráulica, Hidrologia e áreas afins.
