Bruno Serafini Sobral

Mestre em Engenharia de Biossistemas (2017), Pós-graduação em Engenharia de Segurança do Trabalho (2012) e Bacharelado em Engenharia Agrícola e Ambiental (2010) pela Universidade Federal Fluminense. Atualmente, faz parte do Grupo de Hidrometeorologia do Norte (NHG) e é estudante de doutorado na Universidade do Norte da Columbia Britânica (UNBC), Canada. Possui certificação como piloto de drones pela agência de transporte canadense (Transport Canada). Atua em pesquisas desde 2010, com especialização nas áreas de hidrologia, modelagem hidráulica e hidrológica, meteorologia, índices de seca, climatologia, rios atmosféricos e mudanças climáticas. Possui um extenso portfólio de trabalhos publicados no Brasil e exterior, e atua regularmente como revisor de periódicos científicos brasileiros e internacionais. Atua desde 2021 como assistente de pesquisa e ensino, e desde 2022 como piloto de drone na UNBC.

PhD in Biosystems Engineering (2017), Postgraduate in Occupational Safety Engineering (2012), and Bachelor's Degree in Agricultural and Environmental Engineering (2010) from the Universidade Federal Fluminense. Currently a member of the NSERC/Rio Tinto Industrial Research Chair team at the Northern Hydrometeorology Group (NHG) and a doctoral student at the University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC). Certified drone pilot by the Canadian transportation agency (Transport Canada). Engaged in research since 2010, specializing in the fields of hydrology, hydraulic and hydrological modeling, drought indices, climatology, atmospheric rivers, and climate change. Has a substantial portfolio of published work in national and international scientific journals, and regularly serves as a peer reviewer for Brazilian and international scientific journals. Since 2021, has been working as a research and teaching assistant, and since 2022, also as a drone pilot at UNBC.
