SOIL SCIENTIST with a degree in Agronomic Engineering from the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco - UFRPE. Master/Doctor from the Paulista State University (Unesp/ Jaboticabal) with a PhD from the University of Córdoba (UCO ? Spain) and post-doctorate from Unesp-Jaboticabal. I am currently an associate researcher at the Federal University of Rondonópolis (UFR), responsible for the discipline of the FUNDAMENTALS OF SOIL SCIENCE. FOCUSED ON APPLIED PEDOLOGY, its investigations cover the following topics: genesis, mineralogy, soil classification, use and management of soil and crops. I work in the area of pedometric and mathematical modelling (Pedotransfer functions) of soil attributes for the purposes of strategic maps (spatial variability) of soil management in agricultural areas. Microbiology (SOIL HEALTH) and functional diversity have been current themes of my investigation in Integrated Agricultural Production Systems (ICLS) in sandy soils. Also noteworthy is my expertise in X-ray diffraction and indirect methods of evaluating soil attributes such as diffuse reflectance spectroscopy, mid-infrared spectroscopy (MIR - Mid Infrared) and magnetic susceptibility.
