Bacharel em Comunicação Visual pela Fundação Armando Alvares Penteado - FAAP (1985), Mestrado em Educação: Psicopedagogia pela Universidade de Santo Amaro - UNISA (2005), Mestrado em Artes: Ensino Aprendizagem pelo Instituto de Artes da Universidade Estadual Paulista - UNESP (2009), Doutorado em Ciências pelo Programa de Pós-Graduação em Integração da América Latina - PROLAM da Universidade de São Paulo USP (2012), Pós-Doutorado pela Escola de Comunicação e Artes ECA/PROLAM da Universidade de São Paulo - USP (2021). Faz parte do grupo de pesquisa do CNPq sob orientação da Professora Dra. Lisbeth Rebollo Gonçalves. Possui outras especializações relacionadas, como Gestão de Projetos, Educação Inclusiva. Tem experiência na área da Educação, com ênfase em Arte, Arteterapia, Arte-Educação, Psicopedagogia (Clínica e Institucional). Em diferentes frentes, ministrou aulas e cursos (por mais de 20 anos) desde a Educação Infantil ao Ensino Superior e, aos Programas da Terceira Idade. Como artista contemporânea recebeu vários prêmios, entre esses: Prêmio ISO Meio Ambiente Mundial (2001-2002) pela Sede ISO Genebra/Suíça, ABNT Brasil; Prêmio Lorenzo di Medici (2017) 3º. lugar na Florence Biennale, Itália, entre outros. Atuou como Consultora/Especialista para BID América Latina (Banco Interamericano de Desenvolvimento) para o Programa Fábricas de Cultura (SEC SP), vindo a atuar também como coordenadora de 7 subdistritos da capital. Atuou direta e indiretamente por 18 anos junto a Secretaria de Estado da Cultura de São Paulo (SEC) e da Secretaria de Estado da Pessoa com Deficiência. Carla Fatio is PhD in Sciences with emphasis on Artistic Production and Cultural Criticism in Latin America by PROLAM (Postgraduate Program in Latin America Integration) of University of São Paulo -USP (2012). She is also member of the research group of CNPq, under coordination of Professor Dr. Lisbeth Ruth Rebollo Gonçalves, focus on reception and criticism of art, plus art exhibitions.

Carla Fatio is a professional visual artist, she researches the language of contemporary art, with several national and international awards, also with solo and group exhibitions in Brazil and abroad, and besides, she represents Brazil in various international projects related to Art and Culture. She is a Member of Board of SINAP-ESP-AIAP/UNESCO. And her work is uploaded in different dictionaries of Art. She has received ISO ENVIRONMENT AWARD (2001-2002) by ISO Geneve and by ABNT Brazil, among other visual art awards, as for example, Lorenzo di Medici AWARD for the 3rd Place - Art Installation at Florence BIENNALE, October 2017.
Carla Fatio has experience in the area of Education, with emphasis on Arts, Cultural Communication, Art Education,Artherapy, Psicho-Pedagogy, Environment, and 3°rd Sector projects targeted for researching in Visual Arts, and also expertise in areas/communities of social vulnerability and project management.
In the Academic area, she teaches as visiting professor in Postgraduate level/Specialization in different faculties, and institutions related, and workshops and speeches.
Carla Fatio used to work as Institutional Relations Advisor at Abaçaí Culture and Art - Social Organization of the Secretariat of State of Culture + Secretary of State of the Right of the Person with Disabilities, from 2006 to 2017.Before, she was a Visual Arts Consultant for IDB (Inter-American Development Bank) to Factory Program of Culture of the State Secretariat of Culture (from 2002 to 2006).
