Zelia Ramozzi-Chiarottino

B.A. in Philosophy at University of São Paulo (USP), D.E.S. in Philosophy of Science at Université d'Aix-Marseille, France (1967), under the direction of Prof. Gilles Granger. Ph.D. in Science and Behavioral Psychology in 1970. Completed Internship at University of Genève in 1972. Post Doc in Linguistics at Università La Sapienza in Rome, Italy, in 1975. Granted the Habilitation in 1980 (USP), Full Professor in 1986 (USP). Visiting Professor at Université de Lyon 2, France, from 1990 to 1992. Founded the first Laboratory of Genetic Epistemology of Brazil in 1968 (FFLCH-USP) and later, in 1970, conducted research on psycho-social rehabilitation (IP- USP). Dean of the Institute of Psychology of USP from 1988 to 1992. In 2004 has been invited to present the results of her research about severe behavioral disorders in children at Hôpital Saint-Jean de Dieu in Lyon, France. In 2004 -1) Lecturer at symposium in Lyon2, France, on practical applications of Genetic Epistemology, 2) Lecturer in Lyon1. Dedicated to epistemological problemas of the biological sciences, especially psychology, with an emphasis on epigenetic ontogenesis of logical-mathematical thinking, for the first time performed by the swiss scientist Jean Piaget (1922/1977). In 2015, has been invited to be part of the examining committee on a doctoral dissertation at the Université de Lyon2, France, on a thesis about the occupational integration of the intellectually disabled and which technique was based on the Genetic Epistemology framework and involved the Philosophy of Science. 2017-Congress Athens Gr presentation Jean Piaget's unrecognized epigetic ontogenesis of the Logical mathematical Thought.
bachelor's at Filosofia from Universidade de São Paulo (1958), master's at Philosophie Des Sciences from Université de Provence /Aix Marseille I (1967) and doctorate at Psychology from Universidade de São Paulo (1970). Has experience in Psychology and Filosophy of science, focusing the following subjects: epistemology, mental imagery, language, cognition and abstract models in science.
