Vinicia Campana Biancardi
Dr. Biancardi is currently an Associate Professor in the Anatomy, Physiology, and Pharmacology Department of the College of Veterinary Medicine at Auburn University (AL, USA). She previously worked in the Department of Physiology at Augusta University as an Assistant Research Scientist (GA, USA). She completed her Postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Cincinnati (OH, USA) and Augusta University under the supervision of Dr. Javier E. Stern. She earned her MSc and Ph.D. degrees in Pharmacology from the Universidade Federal de Sao Paulo (SP, BRA) under Dr. Ruy Campos's supervision. During her Ph.D. studies, she completed a Ph.D. program (CAPES) abroad at Wright State University (OH, USA). She received her BS in Pharmacy from Faculdade de Farmácia e Bioquímica do Espirito Santo and a BS in Accounting from the Universidade Vila Velha (ES, BRA). Dr. Biancardi has experience in the Physiology of Organ Systems, particularly the cardiovascular system and neurophysiology. Her research interests focus on brain mechanisms involved in cardiovascular control under healthy and disease states. She is currently studying neural mechanisms in blood pressure control related to hypertension.
graduation at Farmácia from Faculdade de Farmácia e Bioquímica do Espirito Santo (1998), graduation at Ciências Contábeis from Universidade Vila Velha (1994), master's at Pharmacology from Universidade Federal de São Paulo (2001) and doctorate at Pharmacology from Universidade Federal de São Paulo (2005). Has experience in Physiology, focusing on Physiology of Organs ans Systems, acting on the following subjects: hypertension induced by chronic l-name, hemodynamic, hipertensão arterial, hemodinâmica and rostral ventrolateral medulla.
