Gilberto da Cunha

Gilberto da Cunha was born in Ibirama, Brazil, in 1972. He graduated in control engineering and postgraduate in power electronics from the Federal University of Santa Catarina, Florianopolis, in 1996 and 2003, respectively. Master's degree in 2015 from Foundation Regional University of Blumenau. Since 1997, he works at WEG Drives and Controls, Brazil, in the R&D Department. He worked with servo drives, position control, low voltage variable frequency converters and active front-end rectifier. His current research activities include medium voltage inverters, modular multilevel converters, embedded systems and motor control.
