Ana Laura Becker de Aguiar

Ana Laura Becker Aguiar is a student of PhD in Law, has a masters in Gender from London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE, 2010), a M.A. in International Law and Human Rights from the UN-mandated University for Peace (Upeace, 2009) and has graduated in International Relations at University of Brasilia (UnB). She has worked in a series of international organizations such as UNFPA, UN-Women, UNHCR, Interamerican Court of Human Rights and IADB. She also has experience in working in the federal government at the Presidency as well as with human rights, gender and social policies such as the Conditional Cash-Transfer programme Bolsa Família.

Doutoranda da Faculdade Nacional de Direito da Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (FND/UFRJ), Mestre em Estudos de Gênero pela London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE, 2010), Mestre em Direito Internacional e Direitos Humanos pela United Nations Mandated University for Peace (UPEACE, 2009) e Bacharel em Relações Internacional pela Universidade de Brasília (UnB, 2006). Atua principalmente nos seguintes temas: direitos humanos, direito internacional dos direitos humanos, feminismo, política social, teoria pós-colonial e descolonial. Já trabalhou em organizações como UNFPA, ONU-Mulheres, Corte Interamericana de Direitos Humanos, Banco Interamericano de Desenvolvimento e no governo federal.
