David D. S. Silva obtained the BSc and MSc degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Federal University of Paraíba (UFPB), João Pessoa, Brazil in 2018 and 2020, respectively. David Silva currently works at the Graduate Program in Materials Science and Engineering at the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar), São Carlos, Brazil as PhD candidate. Silva is currently a visiting researcher at the Center for Advanced Non-Ferrous Structural Alloys (CANFSA) and George S. Ansell Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering (MME) at the Colorado School of Mines (Mines), Golden, CO - USA. He has experience in the field of metallurgical and materials engineering, working mainly on the following topics: alloy design, phase transformation, TRIP and TWIP effects, corrosion and wear testing, nondestructive evaluation, as well as advanced materials characterization.
