Full Professor at the Federal University of São Carlos, Sorocaba , with a degree in Forestry Engineering from the Federal Rural University of Rio de Janeiro (1977), a master's degree in Forestry Engineering from the Escola Superior de Agricultura Luis de Queiróz (1982), a doctorate in Ecology from the State University of Campinas (1999) and post-doctorate in Tropical Ecology at the University of Missouri Saint Louis (UMSL), USA and in Applied Ecology and Forest Sciences at the University of Trás-os-Montes Alto Douro-UTAD, Portugal. Responsible for the implantation and consolidation of the Graduation Course in Forest Engineering of the Sorocaba campus (UFSCar), evaluated in ENADE with a score of 5. Oriented more than 5,000 people in training activities in extension courses, in addition to several undergraduate and graduate students in Biology and Forestry Engineering. Founder and Coordinator of the Technical Committee for Forest Seeds of ABRATES and nowadays member of the Commitee. Member of the advisory board on seeds and seedlings of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply. Coordinator of the Atlantic Forest Seed Network RIOESBA, contribute in the Xingu Seed Networks and in REMAS - Atlantic Forest Network of Forest Seeds and in the Network of Seeds and Seedlings of the Rio Doce basin. I have experience in the area of Forest Resources and Forest Engineering, with an emphasis on Forest Seeds applied to restoration and conservation of forest resources, acting mainly on the following themes: forest seeds and non-wood forest products, applied ecology in the recovery of degraded areas and their biotic indicators and conservation of genetic resources. I act in order to transform research into public policies, having contributed to the formulation of Normative Instructions 04/98 of IBAMA on community forest management, in SMA resolutions 47/2003 and 08/2008 on restoration of degraded areas, SMA nº 66/2008, all in the state of São Paulo and in Decree nº 5.153 / 2003, IN-26/12 and IN-56/12 and in IN 17-19 / 17 of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply that deals with the production and commercialization of seeds and forest seedlings.https://orcid.org/0000-0001-8713-448X

Coordenadora da Rede Mata Atlântica de Sementes Florestais RIOESBA, atua nas Redes de Sementes do Xingu e na REMAS- Rede Mata Atlântica de Sementes Florestais e na Rede se Sementes e Mudas da bacia do Rio Doce. Tem experiência na área de Recursos Florestais e Engenharia Florestal, com ênfase em Sementes Florestais aplicada restauração e conservação recursos florestais, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: sementes florestais e produtos florestais não madeireiros, ecologia aplicada na, recuperação de áreas degradadas e seus indicadores bióticos e conservação de recursos genéticos.
