O Prof. João Antonio Correa Pinto possui Doutorado em Engenharia Elétrica pela Universidade Federal de Uberlândia (2002) e Mestrado em Engenharia Elétrica pela Universidade Federal de Uberlândia (1997), é graduado em Engenharia Elétrica pela Universidade Federal do Pará (1992), e Licenciatura em Física Universidade Federal do Pará (1982). É Professor e pesquisador do IFPA-Campus Belém e atua na docência há 23 anos e na Gestão há mais de 10 anos, sendo Vice-Diretor do CEFET/PA no período de 2004 a 2008. Tem experiência nas áreas de Engenharia Elétrica, Gestão de ensino e Educação Profissional. Atualmente, exerceu o cargo de Pró-reitor de Desenvolvimento Institucional e substituto do Reitor do IFPA, no período de 2009 a 2012, Instituição a qual vem dedicando sua carreira ao longo dos anos
Professor João Antonio Correa Pinto received his PhD in Electrical Engineering in 2002 and his Master?s Degree also in Electrical Engineering in 1997, both from Federal University of Uberlandia, Minas Gerais, Brazil. He graduated from University of Pará, Brazil, earning his Bachelor´s Degree in Electrical Engineering in 1982 as well as a Bachelor´s Degree in Physics in 1992. He is a Full Professor and active researcher for the Federal Institute for Education, Science and Technology (IFPA), in the State of Pará , Brazil, where he has been teaching for the last 23 years. He has also been working on the campus Administration for more than ten years. From 2004 to 2008, Dr. João Pinto was Vice-Director of Federal Technological Education Center (CEFET/PA). His experience covers the areas of Electrical Engineering, Education Management and Professional Education. Presently he has been working as Vice Provost for Institutional Development and he is also the Deputy Rector for IFPA, an educational institution to which he has been dedicating a lifetime career.
