Carlos André Pereira de Lucena

Master in Business Administration from PUC-Rio Business School (IAG). Graduated in Business Administration, he also completed the MBA in Management also by the Business School of PUC-Rio (IAG). Founder and CEO of EduWeb, created in 1998 and pioneer in the segment of educational technologies in Brazil, having developed the first LMS (Learning Management System) with national technology in partnership with the Software Engineering Laboratory (LES) of PUC-Rio. He led the merger process that resulted in the creation of Affero Lab, a leading company in the Brazilian corporate learning market. After 15 years as an executive returned to PUC-Rio in 2013 for the coordination of LES. Since then, in addition to coordinating projects such as the BEPiD (Brazilian Educational Program for iOS Developers), sponsored by Apple, has been dedicated to the management of MEDLES, an applied research group in the health laboratory. Currently MEDLES works in research in the areas of mobility, learning machine, sensors, voice recognition, big data, e-health standards and software agents. Among the main projects in the health area are the Vital Signs Projects, projects in partnership with the Perinatal Hospital (Amor de Mãe, App Voice and Prenatal Digital) and the applied research interaction with the TRIA application. Since January 2022, he is also responsible at LES for the set of research in the area of Smart Cities of the Infracidades Project.

Mestre em Administração pela Escola de Negócios da PUC-Rio (IAG). Graduado em Administração de Empresas, concluiu o MBA em Management também pela Escola de Negócios da PUC-Rio (IAG). Fundador e CEO da empresa EduWeb, criada em 1998 e pioneira no segmento de tecnologias educacionais no Brasil tendo desenvolvido o primeiro LMS (Learning Management System) com tecnologia nacional em parceria com o Laboratório de Engenharia de Software (LES) da PUC-Rio. Liderou o processo de fusão que resultou na criação da Affero Lab, empresa líder do mercado brasileiro de aprendizagem corporativa. Após 15 anos como executivo retornou para PUC-Rio em 2013 para a coordenação do LES. Desde então, além da coordenação de projetos como o Apple Developer Academy, patrocinado pela Apple, se dedicou a gestão do MEDLES, grupo de pesquisa aplicada do laboratório especializado na área da saúde. Atualmente o MEDLES trabalha em pesquisas nas áreas de mobilidade, machine learning, sensores, voice recognition, big data, e-health standards e software agents. Entre os principais projetos na área de saúde destacam-se o Projetos Sinais Vitais, projetos em parceria com os Hospitais Perinatal (Amor de Mãe, App Voz e Prenatal Digital) e Rede D'or (Projeto Multiformato), além da interação de pesquisa aplicada com o aplicativo TRIA. A partir de janeiro de 2022 é também o responsável no LES pelo conjunto de pesquisas na área de Cidades Inteligentes do Projeto Infracidades.
