Patrícia d Emery Alves Santos

Graduated in Biomedicine (2005) at the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE), master?s (2008) and doctorate (2013) in Tropical Medicine also at UFPE. Started the postdoctoral degree (04/2014-12/2017) in the Postgraduate Program in Tropical Medicine (UFPE) as a researcher at Immunology Department of the Keizo Asami Immunopathology Laboratory (LIKA/UFPE) and between 01/2018-06/2021 was a postdoctoral fellow in the Skirball Institute of Biomolecular Medicine at New York University (NYU) under advisement of Dr. Juan Lafaille. Is currently a DCR CNPq/FACEPE fellow and collaborator in the Life Science Center, at the Academic Center of Agreste (CAA/UFPE). Also acting as a titular member of the Ethics Committee on the Use of Animals (CEUA) of the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (IAM/FIOCRUZ). Has experience in Immunology, acting on the following subjects: immunoregulation, cellular and humoral responses, maternal-fetal relationship and allergy/asthma.

Possui graduação em Biomedicina (2005) pela Universidade Federal de Pernambuco (UFPE), Mestrado (2008) e Doutorado (2013) em Medicina Tropical também pela UFPE. Iniciou o pós-doutorado (04/2014-12/2017) no Programa de Pós-Graduação em Medicina Tropical (PPGMedTrop/UFPE), desenvolvendo as pesquisas no Departamento de Imunologia do Laboratório de Imunopatologia Keizo Asami (LIKA/UFPE) e entre 01/2018-06/2021 foi pós-doutoranda no Skirball Institute of Biomolecular Medicine da New York University (NYU) sob orientação do Dr. Juan Lafaille. Atualmente é bolsista DCR CNPq/FACEPE e colaboradora do Núcleo de Ciências da Vida (NCV), do Centro Acadêmico do Agreste (CAA/UFPE). Atuando também como Membro Titular da Comissão de Ética no Uso de Animais (CEUA) da Fundação Oswaldo Cruz Pernambuco (IAM/FIOCRUZ). Tem experiência na área de Imunologia, com ênfase em Imunoparasitologia, atuando principalmente nos temas: imunorregulação, resposta celular e humoral, relação materno-fetal e alergia/asma.
