luiz Charles Araujo de Sá

Luiz Charles Araujo de Sá is a physician graduated from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte in 1988. He later specialized in General Surgery at Carlos Chagas Hospital in Rio de Janeiro for 2 years. In 1994, he entered into the postgraduate course in Plastic Surgery of the PUC-Rio service of prof. Ivo Pitanguy. He concluded master's and doctor's degrees in surgical science at UFRJ in the years of 2015 and 2018, respectively. His area of ​​practice is plastic surgery, with emphasis on the surgical and scientific fields, mainly on stem cells. He is a Full member of the Brazilian Society of Plastic Surgery and the American Society of Plastic Surgery, Effective Member of AExPI, Founding Member of the Brazilian Burn Society and member of the American O.N.G "Operation Smiles". He participated in two Brazilian expeditions to the Antarctic Continent as a Navy doctor. He was responsible for scientific depto.of the IVO PITANGUY Institute-RJ and prof. of the University of the State of Rio de Janeiro - UERJ in the years 2016-2017. Head of the Stem Cell chapter of SBCP in years 2016-2017-2018. In 2019, after being approved in a public concourse , he joined as a plastic surgeon at the university of the state of Rio de Janeiro-UERJ. He is also a reviewer for the American journal Aesthetic Surgery Journal (https://publons.com/a/1305392) since 2015.

Luiz Charles Araujo de Sá é médico formando pelo Universidade Federal do RN no ano de 1988. Posteriormente fez especialização em Cirurgia Geral no Hospital Carlos Chagas no Rio de Janeiro durante 2 anos. Em 1994, ingressou no curso de pós-graduação em Cirurgia Plástica da PUC -Rio serviço do prof. Ivo Pitanguy. Concluiu seu mestrado e doutorado em ciência cirúrgica na UFRJ nos anos de 2015 e 2018, respectivamente. Sua área de atuação é cirurgia plástica, com ênfase na parte cirúrgica e científica, principalmente sobre células-Tronco. É membro Titular da Sociedade Brasileira de Cirurgia Plástica e da sociedade americana de cirurgia plastica, Membro Efetivo da AExPI, Membro Fundador da Sociedade Brasileira de Queimadura e integrante da ONG americans "Operation Smiles". Participou de duas expedições brasileiras ao Continente Antártico como médico da Marinha. Foi responsável pelo dep. científico do Instituto IVO PITANGUY-RJ e prof. da Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro -UERJ nos anos de 2016-2020. Chefe do capítulo de Células-Tronco da SBCP anos 2016-2017-2022. Em 2019, após aprovação em concurso público, ingressou como cirurgião plástico na universidade do estado do Rio de Janeiro-UERJ. Atua tambem como revisor científico da revista americana Aesthetic Surgery Journal (https://publons.com/a/1305392) desde 2015.
