Valfredo Pilla Junior

Valfredo Pilla Jr received a B.E. degree in Electrical Engineering from Universidade de São Paulo (USP 1989) and a M.S. degree in Biomedical Engineering (1999) from Universidade Tecnógica Federal do Paraná (UTFPR). Since 1993 he has been with UTFPR at the Department of Electronics, and he had been with Universidade Positivo at the Department of Computer Engineering from February 2001 to January 2015. His current research is on deep learning methods for image pattern recognition in biomedical engineering applications. Currently, he is engaged as a DSc student at UTFPR, whose research aims are related to pattern recognition in images in the context of biomedical engineering. Previously, he developed activities in reconfigurable hardware, biomedical signals pattern recognition, and education in engineering.

Has experience in Electric Engineering, focusing on Electric Engineering, acting on the following subjects: fpga, eeg, vhdl, reconhecimento de padrões and lógica programável.
