Gabriela Bortolança Chiarotto

Doutora em Biologia Celular e Estrutural, pelo Instituto de Biologia, UNICAMP (2018). Realizou doutorado sanduíche no Istituto di Ricerche Farmacologiche Mario Negri (Milão-Itália) atuando na área de neurociências com ênfase na doença neurodegenerativa Esclerose Lateral Amiotrófica. Possui mestrado em Biologia Celular e Estrutural na área de Anatomia pelo mesmo programa de pós-graduação (2013) e bacharelado em Biomedicina (2010) pelo Centro Universitário Hermínio Ometto (FHO-UNIARARAS). Atua na área de neurociências, com interesse em doenças neurodegenerativas, neuroproteção, plasticidade sináptica, processos de degeneração e regeneração do sistema nervoso central e periférico, terapias farmacológicas e biologia molecular. Tem experiência didática nas disciplinas de Anatomia, Fisiologia e Histologia Humana, Genética Médica e Diagnóstico por Imagem. Foi professora permanente do Programa de Pós Graduação em Ciências Biomédicas (FHO) e Pesquisadora Colaboradora do Instituo de Biologia da Unicamp (2018-2021). Atualmente é pós doutoranda no departamento de Neurologia da Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, New York, City.

PhD in Cell and Structural Biology, Institute of Biology, UNICAMP (2018). She held a doctorate sandwich at the Istituto di Ricerche Farmacologiche Mario Negri (Milan-Italy) working in the area of neurosciences with emphasis on neurodegenerative disease Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis. She holds a Master's Degree in Cell and Structural Biology in the Anatomy area by the same postgraduate program (2013) and a Bachelor's degree in Biomedicine (2010) by the University Center Hermínio Ometto (FHO-UNIARARAS). She works in the area of neurosciences, with interest in neurodegenerative diseases, neuroprotection, synaptic plasticity, degeneration and regeneration processes of the nervous system, pharmacological therapies and molecular biology. She has didactic experience having taught the disciplines of Human Physiology and Histology. Currently Profa. in the disciplines of Anatomy and Physiology and Collaborating Researcher in the Master's Program in Biomedical Sciences (FHO - Uniararas).
