Associated Professor at the Federal University of Latin American Integration - UNILA, in the graduation in International Relations and Integration and in the post-graduation in Contemporary Integration in Latin America. PhD in Political Science with emphasis in International Politics, and Master in International Relations in Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul - UFRGS. Research coordinator of Center for Strategic Studies, Geopolitics and Regional Integration (NEEGI). Currently associate researcher at the South American Institute of Policy and Strategy - Isape, in the Center of International Studies about Govern (CEGOV) and Brazilian Center for Strategy and International Relations (NERINT). Research in the areas of International Politics, Geopolitics, International Security and Regional Integration, focusing on the role of energy in international politics, the energy strategy of the great powers and emergent powers, armed conflicts in oil-producing regions, and the processes of Regional Energy and Infrastructure Integration.
Professor Associado I na Universidade Federal da Integração Latino-Americana (UNILA), onde atua como Pesquisador e Professor no Programa de Pós-Graduação em Integração Contemporânea na América Latina (PPG-ICAL) e no Bacharelado em Relações Internacionais e Integração (RII). Doutor em Ciência Política e Mestre em Relações Internacionais pela Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS). Atualmente é coordenador do Núcleo de Estudos Estratégicos, Geopolítica e Integração Regional (NEEGI), Coordenador do Observatório da Geopolítica Energética, do Observatório da Geopolítica da Integração e vice-coordenador do Observatório dos BRICS e das Relações Sul-Sul. Pesquisa nas áreas de Geopolítica, Estudos Estratégicos, Segurança Internacional, Defesa, Cooperação e Integração Regional, com foco nas temáticas da Geopolítica Energética e no papel da Energia na Política Internacional, na Grande Estratégia das grandes potências, dos BRICS e dos países emergentes; análise de guerras em regiões petrolíferas ou por recursos energéticos e a análise dos processos de Integração Energética e de Infraestrutura Regional. É pesquisador colaborador do Núcleo Brasileiro de Estratégia e Relações Internacionais (NERINT), do Centro de Estudos Internacionais sobre Governo (CEGOV), do Instituto Sul-Americano de Política e Estratégia (ISAPE) e do Laboratório Estado e Território - Gestão, regiões e fronteiras (LABETER).
