Andrea de Fatima Horvath Marques

Possui doutorado pelo pelo Departamento de Psiquiatria da FMUSP (2002), Mestrado em Sáude Pública Epidemiologia na Universidade da Columbia, Nova Iorque, Estados Unidos (2013), Pós-Doutorado na área de Psiconeurimunologia pelo Instituto Nacional de Saúde Mental (NIMH), Institutos Nacional de Saúde (NIH), Bethesda, Estados Unidos e Pós-Doutorado na área de Saúde Publica, Epidemiologia na Universidade da Columbia, Nova Iorque, Estados Unidos. Atualmente é Professora Visitante do Departamento de Psiquiatria, Universidade de Sao Paulo . Tem experiência na área de Epidemiologia Psiquiatrica, Saúde Pública e Psiconeuroimunologia atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: depressão maior, depressão e fatores inflamatórios, imunologia, doença periodontal. Indice H 11. Dr. Andrea Marques is a medical psychiatrist with clinical and research experience at leading medical centers of excellence in the United States and Brazil. Her current research focuses on biomarkers in psychiatric disorders and global mental health solutions. Currently a visiting professor at the University of São Paulo s (USP) Department of Psychiatry, Dr. Marques received her M.D. in 1994 and completed a specialization in psychiatry in 1997 at USP. In 2001 she joined the staff at USP s Institute of Psychiatry as an assistant physician with teaching, research and clinical responsibilities. While on full scholarship, she was granted a Ph.D. by USP in 2002.Between 2003 and 2011, Dr. Marques was a post-doctoral research fellow at the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH), part of the U.S. National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland. Her research focused on the effects of stress on the immune system and on community-based family studies of affective spectrum disorders and their overlap with physical conditions. In 2011, she joined the Department of Epidemiology at Columbia University in the city of New York, where she was granted the degree of Master of Public Health in 2013. Dr. Marques continues her work with Columbia and NIMH through the coordination of international research and Global Mental Health projects between the United States, Brazil, Europe and Australia.
