Rosa Iavelberg

Graduated from the School of Architecture and Urbanism of the University of São Paulo (1973), master's degree (1993) and doctorate (2000) in Arts from the School of Communications and Arts, University of São Paulo (ECA-USP). Specialization in art/education I and II (1986-1989) at (ECA_USP) (1989). Currently she is a professor and researcher, acting in the Undergraduate and Graduate Education Course of the Faculty of Education of the University of São Paulo. She was Director of the Maria Antonia University Center at USP (2006 to 2009). She was the author of the National Art Curricular Parameters and coordinator of the PCN Art from 1st to 4th grades (1996-2000). Author of Art books of the National Plan of the didactic book from 1st to 5th grades (2016 and 2019 and 2023-2026). Author of books and articles in academic journals about the Art component and the social issues that involve the field. Works in the Art component with research on: Teacher Training, Art History/Modernist and Contemporary Education, School Art Education, Art Curriculum, Child and Youth Design. Autora de livros de Arte do Plano Nacional do livro didático do 1o ao 5o anos (2016 e 2019 e 2023-2026). Autora de livros e artigos em revistas acadêmicas versando sobre o componente Arte e as questões sociais que envolvem o campo. Atua no componente Arte com em pesquisas sobre: Formação de Professores, História da Arte/Educação Modernista e Contemporânea, Arte Educação Escolar, Currículo de Arte, Desenho da Criança e do Jovem.
