I obtained my Doctorate (2017) and Master's (2008) in Plant Biology at the Federal University of Perambuco and I have a Bachelor's Degree in Biological Sciences from the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco (2005). My works concentrate in taxonomy of Poaceae and Bromeliaceae, phylogeny, biogeography and conservation. I also develop floristic work in Priority Areas for Conservation in the Northeast. Since 2010, I have a permanent position as researcher at the Botanical Garden of Recife. In addition, I am a freelance consultant for several companies of environmental studies. a member of the IUCN as the SSC Brazil Plant Red List Authority, and a member of the BGCI Directory of Ecological Restoration Experts.
Obtive meu Doutorado (2017) e Mestrado (2008) em Biologia Vegetal pelo Programa de Pós-Graduação em Biologia Vegetal da Universidade Federal de Perambuco e sou Graduado em Licenciatura em Ciências Biológicas pela Universidade Federal Rural de Pernambuco (2005). Minhas linhas de trabalho são taxonomia de Poaceae e Bromeliaceae, filogenia, biogeografia e conservação. Também desenvolvo trabalhos florísticos em Áreas Prioritárias para a Conservação no Nordeste. Desde 2010, sou pesquisador do Jardim Botânico de Recife. Além disso, sou consultor autônomo de diversas empresas de estudos ambientais, sou membro da IUCN como SSC Brazil Plant Red List Authority e membro do diretório de experts em restauração ecológica do BGCI.
