Desiree Ramos Tozi

I have a degree in History from the University of São Paulo (2003), a Latto Sensu specialization in Public Management from ENAP (2016) and a Curatorship in Art Museums from the Museum of Contemporary Art at USP (2009), and a Master's in Social History from the University of São Paulo (2007). I recently completed my PhD in the Ethnic and African Studies Program (Pos-Afro) in the Federal University of Bahia, where I conducted research related to the field of political agency in Candomblé. I have earned a fellowship, granted by CAPES, to be a visiting scholar at the Department of Anthropology at CIty University of New York/CUNY. I am a Associate Researcher at the Center of Folklife and Cultural Heritage, Smithsonian Institution, Washington/DC/USA. I have experience in the areas of Cultural Heritage, Racial Equality Promotion Policies, Public Policy Management.

Possuo graduação em História pela Universidade de São Paulo (2003), especialização Latto Sensu em Gestão Pública pela ENAP (2016) e Curadoria em Museus de Arte pelo Museu de Arte Contemporânea da USP (2009), e sou Mestre em História Social pela Universidade de São Paulo (2007). Conclui o doutorado no Programa de Estudos Étnicos e Africanos (Pós-Afro) /UFBA, onde realizei pesquisa relacionada ao campo da agência política no Candomblé. Fiz estágio-sanduiche no Departamento de Antropologia da City University of New York/CUNY e sou Pesquisadora Associada do Center of Folklife and Cultural Heritage, da Smithsonian Institution, Washington/DC/USA. Tenho experiência nas áreas de Patrimônio Cultural, Políticas de Promoção da Igualdade Racial,Gestão de Políticas Públicas.
