Marcelo Augusto Mendes Alcantara

Bacharel e Licenciado em Ciências Biológicas pela Universidade Estadual Paulista (UNESP), Faculdade de Engenharia, Ilha Solteira, Mestre em Ciências Biológicas (Genética) pela Universidade Estadual Paulista (UNESP), Instituto de Biociências, Botucatu. Atualmente é Doutorando pelo mesmo programa. Durante a graduação, foi estagiário do Laboratório de Genética de Populações e Silvicultura (LGPS) sob orientação do Prof. Dr. Mario Luiz Teixeira de Moraes e também bolsista do CNPq pelo Instituto Florestal de São Paulo (IF) sob orientação do Pesquisador Dr. Miguel Luiz Menezes de Freitas; Mantendo-se no mesmo grupo de pesquisa, realiza seus estudos de pós-graduação no Centro de Analises Genômicas (CAGEN) sob responsabilidade e orientação do Prof. Dr. Celso Luis Marino. Atua nas áreas de conservação, genética, genética de populações, silvicultura e melhoramento de espécies florestais.

Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences by the Faculty of Engineering of Ilha Solteira of Universidade Estadual Paulista (FEIS / UNESP), Master's Degree in Biological Sciences (Genetics) by the Institute of Biosciences of Botucatu (IBB / UNESP) and also PhD Student by the same Program (Biological Sciences (Genetics)). During graduation, he was a trainee at the Laboratory of Genetics of Populations and Forestry (LGPS) under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Mario Luiz Teixeira de Moraes, was also a Fellow of CNPq at the Instituto Florestal de São Paulo (IF) under the guidance of Dr. Miguel Luiz Menezes de Freitas; Keeping in the same research group, he carries out his postgraduate studies at the Genomic Analysis Center under the responsibility and guidance of Prof. Dr. Celso Luis Marino. It acts in the areas of conservation, genetics, population genetics, forestry and forest species improvement.
