TATIANA DE LAAI

Doutora em Antropologia pela Universidade Federal Fluminense (2016) com bolsa sanduíche no Programa de Doutoramento em Materialidades da Literatura na Universidade de Coimbra. Possui mestrado em Ciências Sociais pela Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (2008) e graduação em Ciências Sociais pela Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (2004). Tem experiência na área de Antropologia e etnografia, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: identidades, consumo, internet, fandom e cultura de massa.
PhD of the Graduate Programme in Anthropology at the Universidade Federal Fluminense (UFF) under the supervision of Prof. Laura Graziela Gomes. Joined the PhD Programme in Materialities of Literature as an interchange student for one semester (with the support of a PDSE/CAPES studentship) to investigate the narratives and media productions of consumer groups/authors of mass culture goods in collaborative digital networks. This is also the topic of her doctoral project " The Comic Book Fan Identity: between "civil life" and "nerd life".This project is inserted in the research line Contemporary Intermedialities and Digital Cultures, which focuses on television, with an emphasis on soap operas (telenovelas and series), forms of reception and consumption, sharing and exchange through social networks, fandoms and immersive environments (games and virtual worlds). This line of research is part of NEMO (studies of modernity group) of PPGA/UFF, a research group focused on the anthropology of consumption from an interdisciplinary and comparative perspective. She holds a BA and MA in Social Sciences from the State University of Rio de Janeiro. She specializes in Urban Anthropology, with emphasis on cultural anthropology, particularly in following topics: identity, youth, sociability and internet.
