Gabriel Victor Rocha Pinezi

Gabriel Pinezi is a Professor in the Department of Literary Theory and Literature at UnB (University of Brasília) and a faculty member affiliated with the Graduate Program in Literature at UnB, within the research line of Poetics and Politics of the Text. He conducted his doctoral research at the New York Public Library and Columbia University, investigating the creative process of Jack Kerouac through his personal manuscripts. His research focuses on the relationship between writing and subjectivity, aiming to articulate the historical coherence between literary creative processes and theories of poetic creation. He has a keen interest in the intersections of literature, philosophy, and history, with a particular emphasis on the following themes: theory of tragedy, psychoanalysis, suicide, the history of love in literature, aesthetics, ethics, Bildungsroman, and the process of literary creation.

Gabriel Pinezi é professor Adjunto A no Departamento de Teoria Literária e Literatura da UnB e professor credenciado ao Programa de Pós-graduação em Literatura da UnB e ao Programa de Pós-Graduação em Letras da UNICENTRO. Desenvolveu pesquisa de doutorado na Biblioteca Pública de Nova York e na Universidade de Columbia investigando o processo de criação de Jack Kerouac a partir de seus manuscritos pessoais. Sua pesquisa se concentra na relação entre escrita e subjetividade, buscando articular a coerência histórica entre processos de criação literários e teorias da criação poética. Nutre interesse pelas interfaces entre literatura, filosofia e história, com ênfase nos seguintes temas: biopolítica; tragédia; psicanálise; suicídio; história do amor na literatura; estética; ética; Bildungnsroman; processo de criação literário.
