Amanda Roberta Revoredo Vicentino

Farmacêutica com Doutorado pelo Instituto de Bioquímica Médica - UFRJ em Ciências com ênfase em Química Biológica e Mestrado em Química com ênfase em Síntese Orgânica pelo Instituto Militar de Engenharia. Atua nas áreas de Imunologia, Biologia Molecular e Parasitologia. Atualmente trabalha na investigação do papel da barreira endotelial na integração entre a resposta imune e o sistema calicreína-cinina no modelo de Doença de Chagas e na COVID-19. Ainda na COVID-19, vem caracterizando o papel da alarmina HMGB1 como um biomarcador de severidade da doença e sua influencia no comprometimento tardio. Tem interesse nas investigações a cerca da HMGB1 no remodelamento tissular e indução de processos fibróticos. Trabalhou investigando os mecanismos moleculares envolvidos no processo de formação do granuloma esquistossomótico e fibrose hepática via HMGB1 em seu primeiro pós-doutoramento.

Hold a PhD from the Institute of Medical Biochemistry - UFRJ in Sciences with an emphasis on Biological Chemistry (2013), a Master's Degree in Chemistry with an emphasis on Organic Synthesis from the Military Engineering Institute (2008) and a degree in Pharmacy from the Unigranrio University (2005). I work in the areas of Immunology, Molecular Biology and Parasitology, investigating the anti-inflammatory activity of 4,5-dihydroisozaxis derivatives in schistosomiasis investigating the molecular mechanisms involved in the process of schistosomal granuloma formation and liver fibrosis. In parallel, I also investigate the role of the endothelial barrier in the integration between the immune response and the kallikrein-kinin system
