Fabricia Walace Rodrigues

Associate professor at the Department of Letters at the University of Brasilia since 2014. Has undergone a postdoctoral internship at EHESS, Paris, under the supervision of Georges Didi-Huberman (2018-2019). Worked as the Portuguese program coordinator from 2015 to 2017. Has a Ph.D. in Comparative Literature from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (2013), with a mobility period at the Université Sorbonne-Nouvelle - Paris 3. Has a B.A. in Portuguese Language and Lusophone Literature from the University of Brasilia (2002) and has a masters degree in Theory of Literature from the same institution (2005). Has an expertise in Comparative Literature and is currently researching the relation between the human world and the vegetal world through the project "Imaginários Botânicos" (Botanical Imaginaries), which relates, from a comparative, multidisciplinary and non-anthropocentric perspective, literature, arts and different areas of knowledge as botany, anthropology and ecology. Has experience as a translator as well, especially from French to Portuguese, and has translated "Aporias", by Jacques Derrida, published in 2018 by Horizonte Publishings. Her last work was the translation of "Journals", by Alix Cléo Roubaud.

Doutora em Literatura Comparada pela Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (2013), com estágio sanduíche na Université Sorbonne-Nouvelle - Paris 3. Atualmente coordena o Grupo de Pesquisa "Fitopoéticas", cujo trabalho visa essencialmente tratar das relações entre a literatura e as plantas, partindo de uma perspectiva comparatista e interdisciplinar, não antropocêntrica. Tem experiência também como tradutora, tendo traduzido "Aporias", de Jacques Derrida, publicado em 2018 pela editora Horizonte. Contato: fabricia.walace@unb.br
