Prof. Doctor Irene Carniatto. She is a Post-Doctor in Education with a focus on Internationalization and International Research Networks, from the Federal University of Mato Grosso - UFMT (completed in 2021). She is a Productivity Scholar for Technological Development and Innovative Extension (DT), from CNPq (Ministry of Education in Brazil). PhD in Forest Sciences, Conservation and Integrated Planning of Basins and Water Resources from UFPR (2007). Coordinator of the Resilience Climate International Research Network ? RIPERC (2019-current). Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Environmental Resilience Research and Science - IJERRS and is part of the Editorial Board of Unioeste Publisher - Edunioeste. She has been a researcher and professor at the State University of Western Paraná, since 1993. Professor and research of the Doctoral?s and Master Postgraduate Program in Sustainable Rural Development at Unioeste (2013-current) and at the College of Biological Sciences at Unioeste - Cascavel Campus-Paraná; Coordinator of the Center for Teaching, Research and Extension in Protection and Disaster at UNIOESTE- CEPED UNIOESTE (2014-current) and Coordinator of the Hydrographic Basin and Environmental Education Research Laboratory - LABHEA/UNIOESTE (2008-current). She is a representative of Unioeste as Member at the Brazilian Forum on Climate Change (FBMC) (2017-current); Representative Member of the Technical Chamber of Urban Planning of the Cascavel Development Council; Representative Member of the Environmental Education Management Council of the Paraná State Government; Participates as a facilitator of the Brazilian Environmental Education Network (REBEA), the Environmental Education Network of the Southern Region (REASUL) and the Paraná Environmental Education Network (REA-PR). Author of books and numerous articles. Ad hoc Consultant for National Journals, Araucaria Foundation and University Projects. Advisor of Theses, Dissertations, Monographs and Teacher Training (PDE).
Graduated in Science Degree in Mathematics from the Universidade Estadual do Oeste do Paraná (1981) and a master's degree in Science Education from the Methodist University of Piracicaba (1999).
Founded and participates in the Research Group Monitoring and Preservation of Ecosystems at Unioeste/CNPQ in 2002, participates in the Education Group in Science and Biology (GECIBIO) - UNIOESTE; the Interdisciplinary and Interinstitutional Group for Research and Extension in Sustainable Development - UNIOESTE; and the Moema Viezzer Environmental Educator Observatory - UNILA.
She was a participant in the Special Commission on Environmental Education articulated in the Government of the State of Paraná by the State Education Council, State Public Ministry, Science and Technology Department, State Department of Education; Secretariat of the Environment and the State HEIs of Paraná;
She was a participant in CAP3 - at the Center for Socio-environmental Knowledge and Care of the La Plata Basin ? ITAIPU/MMA.
He participated as a Member of the Municipal Environment Council and Representative of the Regional Health Center - 10th RS.
She has experience in the Administrative Area of the University in different spheres, has held the administrative functions of Head of the Department of Biology; Biology Course Coordinator; Head of the Technical Division of Life Science/NEI of the Dean of Extension at Unioeste (2009-2012).

É representante da Unioeste como membro do Fórum Brasileiro de Mudanças Climáticas (FBMC) (2017-atual); Membro da Câmara Técnica de Urbanismo do Conselho de Desenvolvimento de Cascavel; Membro do Conselho Gestor de Educação Ambiental do Governo do Estado do Paraná; Participa como facilitador da Rede Brasileira de Educação Ambiental (REBEA), da Rede de Educação Ambiental da Região Sul (REASUL) e da Rede Paranaense de Educação Ambiental (REA-PR). Autora de livros e inúmeros artigos. Consultor Ad hoc de Periódicos Nacionais, Fundação Araucária e Projetos Universitários. Orientador de Teses, Dissertações, Monografias e Formação de Professores (PDE).
Possui graduação em Licenciatura em Ciências Habilitação em Matemática pela Universidade Estadual do Oeste do Paraná (1981) e mestrado em Educação em Ciências pela Universidade Metodista de Piracicaba (1999).
Fundou e participa do Grupo de Pesquisa Monitoramento e Preservação de Ecossistemas da Unioeste/CNPQ em 2002, participa do Grupo de Educação em Ciências e Biologia (GECIBIO) - UNIOESTE; do Grupo Interdisciplinar e Interinstitucional de Pesquisa e Extensão em Desenvolvimento Sustentável - UNIOESTE; e do Observatório Educador Ambiental Moema Viezzer - UNILA.
Foi participante da Comissão Especial de Educação Ambiental articulada no Governo do Estado do Paraná pelo Conselho Estadual de Educação, Ministério Público Estadual, Secretaria de Ciência e Tecnologia, Secretaria Estadual de Educação; Secretaria de Meio Ambiente e as IES Estaduais do Paraná;
Foi Participante do CAP3 - no Centro de Saberes e Cuidados Socioambientais da Bacia do Prata ? ITAIPU/MMA.
Participou como Membro do Conselho Municipal de Meio Ambiente e Representante do Polo Regional de Saúde - 10ª RS.
Tem experiência na Área Administrativa da Universidade em diferentes esferas. Exerceu as funções administrativas de Chefe do Departamento de Biologia; Coordenadora do Cursos de Biologia; Chefe da Divisão Técnica de Ciência da Vida/NEI da Pró-Reitoria de Extensão da Unioeste (2009-2012).
