Cristovao de Jesus Vieira Teixeira

Cristovao de Jesus Vieira Teixeira has a Bachelor Degree in Agronomy by the Federal University of Goias 2014. He completed his MSc Degree in Plant Genetic Manipulation in 2017 at the University of Nottingham as scholarship holder sponsored by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (Chevening Scholarships). Currently, he is a PhD student at The University of Zurich. His project looks to uncover the molecular and cell biology of the root development of Brachypodium. Cristovao went to the The University of Adelaide in 2013 to take english and agricultural related courses as an exchange student and he did his final internship at the Plant Science Consulting (South Australia) looking for to identifying herbicide resistance mainly in Lolium rigidum (annual ryegrass).

Possui graduação em Agronomia pela Universidade Federal de Goiás (2014), Mestrado em Genética de Plantas pela The University of Nottingham na Inglaterra 2016 como bolsista do Programa Chevening Scholarships e atualmente, aluno de Doutorado na The University of Zurich sendo bolsista do Swiss Government Excellence Scholarships for Foreign Scholars. Foi Aluno de intercambio acadêmico do programa Ciências Sem Fronteiras (2013) na The University of Adelaide na Austrália trabalhando em conjunto com o CSIRO (Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation) no monitoramento do desenvolvimento de resistência de plantas daninhas a diversos herbicidas. Tem experiência na área de Agronomia, com ênfase em biologia celular, bioinformática e biologia molecular, atendimento e negociação com clientes, logística de entrega e acompanhamento do mercado da fertilizantes.
