Angela Maria Nunes Machado Pereira

Angela Nunes is anthropologist. Portuguese, was born in Mozambique, where she lived until adolescence. She completed his university studies in Brazil and Portugal, having participated in several scientific and educational projects in both countries. She holds a Ph.D. in Anthropology of Education, is a research fellow at the CRIA / UNL and has a post-doc grant from FCT (Portugal). In Brazil, is associate researcher at PINEB / UFBA and CRIAS / UFPE. Her investigations have focused on the children of indigenous societies in Brazil and, more recently, children in the Portuguese Diaspora. She is currently working on the project 'Children, Migration Identity and Cultural Diversity', concentrated in the Portuguese community in the Ruhr area, Germany. Published "The Society of A'uwe-Xavante Children: for an anthropology of children" (1999) and co-edited "Indigenous Children: anthropological essays" (2002). In 2009, with two colleagues, founded the NEIJ Children and Yout Interest Studies Group, CRIA/Center for Research in Anthropology, Portugal.

Ângela Nunes é antropóloga. Portuguesa, nasceu em Moçambique, onde viveu até à adolescência. As suas investigações têm focalizado as crianças das sociedades indígenas brasileiras e, mais recentemente, as crianças na diáspora portuguesa. Atualmente, trabalha no projeto Infância, Migrações, Identidade e Diversidade Cultural`, concentrado na comunidade portuguesa na área do Ruhr, Alemanha. Publicou "A Sociedade das Crianças A'uwe-Xavante: por uma antropologia da criança" (1999) e co-editou "Crianças Indígenas: ensaios antropológicos" (2002). Em 2009, com 2 colegas, fundou o NEIJ - Núcleo de Estudos da Infância e Juventude, no CRIA/Centro em Rede de Investigação em Antropologia, Portugal.
