PhD in Energy Engineering (2005) . Msc Mechanical Engineer. Professor of the Energy Engineering Department of the University of Seville since 1998. My research is focused on thermal energy systems: development, design and optimization. It includes power plants (thermo solar, gas turbines, combined cycles), new cycles (supercritical CO2, HAT cycle, fuel cell hybrid systems), Heat Recovery Systems, carbon capture, cogeneration, internal combustion engines, combustion, diesel particulate filters, . Linked to the R&D activity I ve participated in more than 60 R&D collaborative projects with energy and transport industries for product analysis, optimization and development. In addition I've been the Head of the Transfer Technology Office and of the Entrepreneurship Office at the University of Seville in the period between March 2012 and April 2014. My activity has included start-ups support in all their stages, entrepreneurship courses for professors and students, internationalization, funds, intelectual property, etc, In 2014 became an accredited professor at the Graduate Program in Renewable Energies (PPGER - CEAR) at the Federal University of Paraíba.
