Ednilson de Almeida Cavaco

Graduated in Mechanical Engineering with emphasis on Production from Universidade Federal de Itajubá UNIFEI, Brazil in 1986. Post-graduated in Industrial Fluid Mechanics from Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Mécanique et d'Hydraulique Grenoble (ENSHMG) - Institut National Polytechnique de Grenoble (INPG), France in 1988. Holds a post-graduate degree in Marketing from Escola Superior de Progaganda e Marketing - ESPM, Brazil in 1999.Awarded the Metal Leve Award in Mechanical Engineering (given to the student with the best academic performance) in 1986, had the opportunity to enroll in a training program for one year in the company of the same name (former Metal Leve, currently Mahle) and then started his career as a trainee engineer in R&D - Modeling and Numerical Simulation. Awarded the Mecânica Pesada Award in 1987 - selected among engineering graduates from the most recognized Brazilian universities ? he was earned an engineer scholarship at INPG / France, as mentioned above; and started his activities in this company (currently Alstom) in the same year. After completing the post-graduate degree in Grenoble / France, assumed the engineering department supervision, leading the team activities of pre-design and design of hydraulic products for hydroelectric plants (turbines, generators, gates, valves etc.), pumping stations, irrigation and sewage.In 2000, became Project Manager (initially as manager and later as director) of large infrastructure projects in the hydro energy business, supplying the equipment for power plants such as Itaipu, Tucurui, Machadinho and Itapebi in Brazil and Palmucho in Chile.In 2003, obtained the certification as Project Manager Professional by the Project Management Institute. In 2006, he was named Risk Manager for Latin America, responsible for assessing the company?s project risks at tendering stage.In 2011, expanded his role and cumulated the responsibility for the newly created area of Knowledge Management with the mission of structuring and implementing practices and initiatives to enable the organization to capture, develop and share critical knowledge across the organization. From 2015, expanded his role and assumed Compliance position, as Ombudsman.From 2019, assumed the role of consultant for EDC Consulting in the following areas: Risk Management, Projects and Compliance.

Sc.) em Engenharia Hidráulica / Mecânica dos Fluidos Industriais pela École Nationale Supérieure d'Hydraulique et de Mécanique de Grenoble (ENSHMG) / Institut National Polytechnique de Grenoble (INPG) / França (1988) e pós-graduação em Marketing pela Escola Superior de Propaganda e Marketing (ESPM) (1999). Condecorado com o "Prêmio Metal Leve de Engenharia Mecânica" em 1986, teve a oportunidade de estagiar por um ano na empresa de mesmo nome (antiga Metal Leve, atual Mahle) e iniciar, em seguida, sua carreira como engenheiro trainee na gerência R&D - Modelamento Numérico e Simulação.Agraciado com o Prêmio Mecânica Pesada em 1987, que selecionou, dentre os recém formados em engenharia das melhores universidades do país, um bolsista para o curso de especialização acima citado, iniciou suas atividades nesta empresa (atualmente Alstom) no mesmo ano.Após concluído o curso de mestrado em Grenoble/França, passou a desenvolver as atividades como supervisor de projetos e ante-projetos de engenharia de produtos hidráulicos para usinas hidrelétricas (turbinas, geradores, comportas, válvulas, etc), estações de bombeamento e sistemas de irrigação e saneamento.A partir de 2000, passou a atuar como Gestor de Projetos (inicialmente como gerente e posteriormente como diretor) de infra-estrutura de grande porte para o fornecimento de equipamentos para usinas hidrelétricas, tais como as usinas de Itaipu, Tucurui, Machadinho e Itapebi. Em 2003 obteve a certificação como Project Manager Professional pelo Project Management Institut.Em 2006, assumiu a responsabilidade pela área de Gerenciamento de Riscos na venda de projetos de infra-estrutura para a América Latina.Em 2011, passou a responder igualmente pela então recém-criada área de Gestão do Conhecimento, com a missão de estruturar bem como implementar práticas e iniciativas que permitam capturar, desenvolver e compartilhar o conhecimento crítico organizacional.Em 2015, passou a acumular funções na área de Compliance, como Ombudsman.Em 2019, passou a atuar como consultor na empresa EDC Consultoria Empresarial, nas áreas de Gerenciamento de Riscos, Projetos e Compliance
