Professor of the Agronomic Sciences College of Botucatu/Unesp. Director Foundation of Studies and Researches Agricultural and Forestry Studies and Research (FEPAF). President of the São Paulo State Association of Phytopathology (APF) and member of the Brazilian Society of Phytopathology. Paulista Prize for Phytopathology in 2014. Editor-in-chief of the journal Summa Phytopathologica. Member of the editorial board of several journals, researcher 1-C of CNPq. Professor of Microbiology and Forest Pathology, Forest Engineering course (FCA / UNESP). Accredited in PPG-Plant Protection and PPG-Forestry Science, was Coordinator and Vice-Coordinator. Develops research in Phytopathology, in the areas of Forest Pathology, Epidemiology, Management and Disease Control in tree species. Training of human resources at all levels and have active scientific production and innovation.

Mestre em Fitopatologia pela Escola Superior de Agricultura Luiz de Queiróz (ESALQ-USP), em 1992, e doutor em Fitopatologia, pela ESALQ-USP, em 1996, foi bolsista CNPq nestes cursos. Livre-docente pela Faculdade de Ciências Agronômicas de Botucatu, da Unesp (2015). Diretor da Fundação de Estudos e Pesquisas Agrícolas e Florestais. Presidente da Associação Paulista de Fitopatologia (APF) e membro da Sociedade Brasileira de Fitopatologia. Premio Paulista de Fitopatologia em 2014. Editor-chefe do periódico Summa Phytopathologica. Membro do corpo editorial de vários periódicos da área de atuação, pesquisador 1-C do CNPq. Professor nas disciplinas de Microbiologia e Patologia Florestal, do curso de Engenharia Florestal (FCA/UNESP), Credenciado nos cursos de PPG-Proteção de Plantas, e PPG-Ciência Florestal, Coordenador PPGA-Proteção de Plantas. Desenvolve pesquisa em Fitopatologia, nas áreas de Patologia Florestal, Epidemiologia, Manejo e Controle de Doenças em espécies arbóreas. Formação de recursos humanos em todos os níveis e ativa produção científica e inovação.
