Ana is passionate for inspiring people for scientific education and works for a more effective and sustainable health care system. In addition to her position as Research Associate at Avant-garde Health (Boston, USA), she serves as Professor in the Graduate Program in Epidemiology at UFRGS and in the School of Technology at the Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul(PUCRS), Senior Researcher at the National Institute for Health Technology Assessment (IATS), and a Partner from consulting firms (PEV and Way2Value, in Brazil and Portugal, respectively). In all her affiliations, she dedicates her career to turning health care costs more transparent and implementing value-based healthcare principles in health care organizations and systems. Motivated by that, Ana founded the TDABC in Healthcare Consortium and has performed dozens of TDABC and health care management research and consulting projects in Brazil, Portugal, and USA. She is continually researching and working to engage more people on the cause to improve the efficiency of health care systems worldwide.Ana is Ph.D in industrial engineer at UFRGS, in collaboration with Stanford Medicine, and completed her post-doctoral fellowship in Epidemiology at UFRGS in collaboration with the Brigham Womens Hospital. She also attended to the VBHC Seminary at Harvard Business School, and now is attending to the Effective Writing Certification Program at Harvard Medical School.
Engenheira de Produção pela Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grandes Sul (PUCRS) com mestrado e doutorado na mesma área pela Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS) e fez pós-doutorado em Epidemiologia na UFRGS. Em 2023 concluiu o curso de Pós graduação Effective Writing for Healthcare (EWHC 2023) na Harvard Medical School. Ao longo da formação acadêmica, estabeleceu colaboração de pesquisa com o Brigham Women's Hospital (durante o pós-doutorado) e Stanford Medicine (durante o doutorado). Atua como Professora permanente do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Epidemiologia da UFRGS e da Escola de Tecnologia da Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul (PUCRS), Pesquisadora Sênior do Instituto Nacional de Avaliação de Tecnologias em Saúde (IATS), Pesquisadora associada na Avant-Garde Health (Boston, USA) e Sócia das empresas de consultorias PEV (Porto Alegre, Brasil) e e Way2Value (Lisboa, Portugal). Em todas as suas afiliações, ela dedica sua carreira a tornar os custos de saúde mais transparentes e implementar os conceitos Value-based Health Care em organizações e sistemas de saúde. Motivada por isso, Ana fundou o TDABC in Healthcare Consortium e realizou dezenas de projetos de pesquisa e consultoria em TDABC e gestão de saúde no Brasil, Portugal e EUA.
