Wanderley Pereira da Rosa

Wanderley Pereira da Rosa holds a degree in theology from the Presbyterian Seminary Rev. José Manoel da Conceição de São Paulo / SP (1991), with a degree in Philosophy from the Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo (2002), a Master's degree in Theology from the Faculdades EST de São Leopoldo / RS (2010) and Ph.D. in Theology from the Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro / RJ (2015). He is a professor of History of Christianity in the Bachelor of Theology and professor of Religion, Democracy and Public Sphere at the Graduate School of the Faculdade Unida de Vitória where he has also been the General Director since 1997. His main research interests are the social and political theology of the Reformation and the history of Protestantism in Brazil. Currently he coordinates the Group of Research Origins Intellectuals of Mission Protestantism in Brazil. He is a member of the Board of CETELA - Community of Latin American and Caribbean Ecumenical Theological Education for the Quadrenian 2018-2021, of the SOTER - Society of Theology and Science of Religion and AAR American Academy of Religion. He is a member of the Executive Committee of the Global Network For Public Theology (2021-2023) as a regional representative for South America. He is also Editor Responsible for the publications of Editora Unida.

Wanderley Pereira da Rosa é graduado em teologia pelo Seminário Presbiteriano Rev. José Manoel da Conceição de São Paulo/SP (1991), licenciado em Filosofia pela Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo (2002), mestre em Teologia pela Faculdades EST de São Leopoldo/RS (2010) e doutor em Teologia pela Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro/RJ (2015). Atualmente, realiza seu pós-doutorado em teologia no Princeton Theological Seminary como Visiting Scholar. É professor de História do Cristianismo no Bacharelado em Teologia e de Religião, Democracia e Esfera Pública na Pós-Graduação da Faculdade Unida de Vitória onde também é o Diretor-Geral desde 1997. Seus principais interesses de pesquisa são a teologia social e política da Reforma e a história do Protestantismo no Brasil. Atualmente coordena o Grupo de Pesquisa Religião e Sociedade Latino Americana. É membro da Junta Diretiva da CETELA - Comunidade de Educação Teológica Ecumênica Latino Americana e Caribenha, da SOTER - Sociedade de Teologia e Ciência da Religião, onde coordena o GT "Protestantismos", da SIRA - Sociedade Internacional Rubem Alves e da AAR American Academy of Religion. É membro da Diretoria da American Friends of Faculdade Unida (AFFU). Também é o Editor Responsável pelas publicações da Editora Unida.
