Raquel da Silva Medeiros

I have a degree in Forestry Engineering from the Federal Rural University of the Amazon (2003), a Master's degree in Tropical Forest Sciences from the National Institute for Research in the Amazon (2006) and a PhD in Sciences - Forest Resources from the University of São Paulo (2016). I am currently a Senior Technologist at the National Institute for Research in the Amazon. I have experience in the area of Forestry Resources and Forestry Engineering, with an emphasis on Forestry Management, working mainly in the management of non-timber forest products, tropical forestry, recovery of degraded areas, dendrochronology and wood anatomy.

Possui graduação em Engenharia Florestal pela Universidade Federal Rural da Amazônia (2003), Mestrado em Ciências de Florestas Tropicais pelo Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas da Amazônia (2006) e Doutorado em Ciências - Recursos Florestais pela Universidade de São Paulo (2016). Atualmente é tecnologista Sênior do Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas da Amazônia. Tem experiência na área de Recursos Florestais e Engenharia Florestal, com ênfase em Manejo Florestal, atuando principalmente no manejo de produtos florestais não madeireiros, silvicultura tropical, recuperação de áreas degradadas, dendrocronologia e anatomia da madeira.
