Climério Paulo da Silva Neto

Climério is a historian of science, professor at the Institute of Physics of UFBA and the Master's program in Integrated STEAM Education (MASTED) and author of the book Materializing the Foundations of Quantum Mechanics: Instruments and the First Bell Tests (Springer, 2023). His thesis won the best thesis award of the Brazilian Society of History of Sciences in 2016. Climério has already held research internships at the history department of the University of British Columbia (2013-2014), the Center for the History of Physics of the American Institute of Physics (2014) and the Center for the History of Science of the Royal Swedish Academy of Science (2019). A member of the Laboratory for the History of Science (LAHCIC), his research focuses on diversity in science and on themes in the history of science and technology that have a regional focus on the Soviet Union and Brazil and a temporal focus on the Cold War period.

Climério é historiador das ciências, professor do Instituto de Física da UFBA e do programa de Mestrado em Educação STEAM Integrada (MASTED) e autor do livro Materializing the Foundations of Quantum Mechanics: Instruments and the First Bell Tests (Springer, 2023). Sua tese foi ganhadora do prêmio de melhor tese da Sociedade Brasileira de História das Ciências em 2016. Climério já realizou estágios de pesquisa no departamento de história da University of British Columbia (2013-2014), no Centro de História da Física do American Institute of Physics (2014) e no Centro de História da Ciência da Academia Real de Ciência da Suécia (2019). Membro do Laboratório de História das Ciências (LAHCIC), sua pesquisa versa sobre diversidade nas ciência e em temas de história da ciência e tecnologia que têm enfoques regionais na União Soviética e Brasil e enfoque temporal no período da guerra fria.
