José Carlos Soares de Almeida

Bachelor in Electronic Engineering from the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ - 1978) with specialization in Electrical Engineering from the Coordenação dos Programas de Pós-graduação em Engenharia (COPPE / UFRJ - 1979) and a Master degree in Nuclear Engineering from COPPE / UFRJ (2001) . Senior Technologist of the Comissão Nacional de Energia Nuclear (CNEN), which he joined in July 1979 and served in technological development and has held senior positions in the field of nuclear instrumentation until 2009. From 2009 to the present, currently works at the Department of Engineering of Complex Systems Institute of Nuclear Engineering / CNEN, with emphasis on the application of artificial intelligence techniques in Nuclear Engineering.

Graduado em Engenharia Eletrônica pela Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ - 1978) com especialização em Engenharia Elétrica pela Coordenação dos Programas de Pós-graduação em Engenharia (COPPE/UFRJ - 1979) e mestrado em Engenharia Nuclear pela COPPE/UFRJ (2001) . Tecnologista Senior III do Comissão Nacional de Energia Nuclear (CNEN), onde ingressou em julho de 1979 e atuou em desenvolvimento tecnológico e exerceu cargos de chefia na área de instrumentação nuclear até 2009. Desde 2009 até o presente, desenvolve trabalhos no Serviço de Engenharia de Sistemas Complexos do Instituto de Engenharia Nuclear/CNEN, com ênfase na aplicação de técnicas de inteligência artificial em engenharia nuclear.
