Janaina Soares Santos

Janaina graduated in Chemistry at Federal University of Sao Carlos (UFSCar, Sao Carlos, Brazil) obtaining both Bachelor?s (2005) and Licentiate (2007) degrees. She concluded the Master?s degree in Chemistry in 2007 and obtained her Ph.D. in 2012 studying the dielectric breakdown phenomena of the anodic oxide films. In the past nine years, she acted in the fields of Materials Science and Electrochemistry developing research and teaching activities. After postdoctoral stages in 2012-2014 at the National Institute of Space Research (Sao Jose dos Campos, Brazil) and Federal University of Alfenas (Alfenas, Brazil), she returned to UFSCar (Sorocaba, Brazil) as a postdoctoral researcher (2014-2017), where she also served as university lecturer (2017-2019) and visiting researcher (2019-2020). During this period, she taught General Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry and Physics-Chemistry disciplines to students from Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Biology, and Forest Engineering courses, and supervised undergraduate and graduate students. She currently works in the Center of Excellence on Catalysis and Catalytic Reaction Engineering at the Department of Chemical Engineering, Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok. Her current interests are the electrochemical synthesis of anodic oxides for sensing, biomaterials, photoelectrochemical and photocatalytic applications. É bacharel em Química (2005) e licenciada em Química (2007) pela Universidade Federal de São Carlos (UFSCar). Fez mestrado (2007) e doutorado (2012) na área de Físico-Química no Programa de Pós Graduação em Química da UFSCar. Realizou pós-doutorado no Laboratório Associado de Sensores (LAS) no Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas Espaciais (INPE, 2012 a 2013), no Laboratório Interdisciplinar de Química (LabIQ) da Universidade Federal de Alfenas (Unifal-MG, 2013 a 2014). No período de 2014-2020, foi vinculada ao Departamento de Física, Química e Matemática (DFQM) na UFSCar, campus Sorocaba, onde desenvolveu diferentes atividades: pós-doutorado (2014-2017), professora substituta (2017-2019) e pesquisadora visitante (2019-2020). Tem experiência na área de Ciencia de Materiais e Eletroquímica, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: anodização, eletrodeposição, EQCM, quimiometria, óxidos anódicos, dopagem anódica, nanomateriais. Atualmente é pesquisadora do Center of Excellence on Catalysis and Catalytic Reaction Engineering do Departamento de Engenharia Química da Chulalongkorn University em Bangkok desenvolvendo catalisadores baseados em óxidos anódicos para diferentes aplicações.
