Alexandre Mestre Pérez
As part of my Master Degree, I explored intraspecific aggregation patterns in feather mite species at different spatial microscales. During my PhD, I investigated the population ecology of symbionts based on a poorly treated model, i.e. freshwater crayfish ectosymbionts (Ostracoda, Entocytheridae), and performed research in invasion biology based on these model oganisms. Now, I am interested in a wide range of research lines within the contexts of ecology and biological invasions, e.g. scale-dependence of intraspecific aggregation, modelling biotic interactions and investigating niche dynamics in invasive species.
